Blak Book
A service directory for aboriginal people in the ACT
What is the blak book?
Yerrabi Yurwang created the Blak Book to help Aboriginal people in the ACT find the services they need in one place.
why do we need the blak book?
Yerrabi Yurwang’s community said there is too much, or too little, information on ACT services. It’s confusing to navigate online and in person. Communication about services is inconsistent. We built the Blak Book to share info about services you or your family may need, based on their purpose.
These include:
- Food, Money & Transport
- Housing
- Domestic & Family Violence
- Health and Wellbeing
- Education, Employment & Learning
- Legal Assistance
We aimed to provide easy to understand information about the services to help families choose which ones to use. This will help you self-determine what is important to you.
your feedback is important to us.
If you know of a service that should be included or if you notice any information is incorrect, please click here to complete the feedback form.
